Agitating Gurjars ‘send’ Palace on wheels to Gujarat

Thanks to Gurjar agitation in Rajasthan, India’s most luxurious tourist train palace on wheels will now visit the Gujarat state.

The Gurjar agitation has taken hold of Sawai Madhopur – Jaipur railway line because of which the Jaipur bound trains from Mumbai-Ratlam are diverted to Ahmedeabad. This has also affected India’s costliest Palace on wheels train which is mostly occupied by the foreign tourists.

The railway department has taken a decision to divert the Palace on wheels train on Chittorgarh, Ratlam, Vadodara, Ahemdabad, Abu Road, Jaipur route. Moreover all trains of Mumbai-Ratlam-Jaipur route are diverted to Ahmedabad. This means the trains such as Mumbai-Jaipur, Indore-Jaipur, Jodhpur-Puri etc will pass through Ahmedabad before Jaipur.
