Punishment to Godhra convicts to be announced on 1st March
Ahmedabad, 25 February, 2011
The court in Ahemdabad’s Sabarmati Jail has decided to announce punishment to 31 convicted criminals of year 2002 Godhra train carnage on 2 March. The court listened to all 31 convicts one-by-one today. While the state government’s prosecutor demanded death sentence for those guilty, the other side opposed it and demanded lesser punishment.
