In a grand ceremony attended by Mahants of 18 Akhadas from all over the India, Shri Dilipdasji Maharaj’s Chadar ceremony was performed in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and opposition Congress leaders also attended the ceremony of ‘Bhandara’ and ‘Chadar’.
Saints said in one voice that they want to see Narendra Modi as Prime minister of India.
While Modi and Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia avoided political speech on this occasion, Leader of opposition Shaktisinh Gohil delivered irritating political speech in his typical dramatic style.
Later Mahants of 18 Akhadas met and took a decision that they would offer 70 acre land in Ayodhya to Muslims and will demand Ram Janmabhoomi land in exchange. They decided to move an application in this regard in the Supreme Court soon.

A litre of Petrol now costs Rs. 67-68 in Gujarat after price hike of Rs. five freshly imposed by the central government. Protesting against this price hike, some citizens in Ahmedabad’s Maninagar area organized a procession in bullock cart and horse cart.

Ahmedabad Police’s Crime Branch arrested three persons possessing fake notes of Rs 24,90,000 from Ahmedabad’s Naroda.
