Two issues on which American Consul General refused to comment

There were two issues on which Mumbai based American Consul General refused to comment yesterday in a press conference in Ahmedabad. While one was issue was Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s Visa and the other issue was Wikileaks.
America has denied renewal of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s visa. When asked about this, Mumbai based US Consul General Peter Haas said: “it is our policy globally that due to privacy reasons we don’t comment on individual Visa denial.”
On his first trip outside Mumbai after taking charge of US Consul General last month, Peter Haas also refused to comment on Wikileaks.
In his conversation with media, Peter Haas termed Wikileaks cables as ‘alleged’ cables.
