Ahmedabad, 11 November, 2011
And today’s photo of the day from across the newspapers published in Gujarat is Bhupendra Rana‘s photo on page 3 of Ahmedabad edition of Indian Express. Printed in black and white in 8 column size, three photos of Asaram-in-action are presented above.
In caption of this photo, Indian Express writes: ‘Religious leader Asaram Bapu, who was at the Vadodara airport to catch a flight to Delhi on Thursday, lost his temper when one of his own sevaks, in a bid to control the crowd of followers, stpped on his Guru’s toes. Asaram punched the sevak and even let out some indignities before realising there were followers around. Asaram teaches tolerance and anger management, among other things.’
Bhupendra Rana is a press photographer in Vadodara who in past clicked one of the most memorable photographs of Vadodara flood in which a police constable was carrying police inspector on his shoulder. This photograph resulted into actions against the police inspector.
Indian Express has continued to excel in photography, keeping alive its best photography journalism traditions. In recent past we also published this Indian Express photo of Ahmedabad based photographer Javed Raja. Watch out it if you missed.
