In pictures and video: Narendra Modi boards speed boat at Sabarmati river front

Ahmedabad, 15 August 2012
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today launched boating and water rides at Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati river front. Shri Modi himself too took a round of speed boat. He was acoompanied by Urban development minister Nitin Patel. City Mayor Asit Vora took the front seat with Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services Chief M.F. Dastoor. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has announced to put 25 boats and water rides for visitors. The activity area will range between Gandhi bridge and Sardar bridge. Two fire brigade teams will be permanently deployed at selected points for safety. The ticket rates for rides range from Rs 15 to Rs 200.
