Jamnagar, 21 August 2012
President of late Hemantbhai Rambhai Madam Memorial Trust, Poonamben Madam has asked the state government to accommodate the farmers having 8-10 acre land in state’s ongoing fodder distribution drive.
In a letter to Revenue minister Anandiben Patel, Poonamben said, “ongoing drive of fodder distribution on subsidized rate initiated by the state government in water scarcity areas presently covers only those farmers who have less than five acre size of farm land. Those farmers who have larger farms do not get the benefit of fodder distribution. The ceiling of farm size should be raised to 8-10 acres or 20/25 bigha lands.”
