Modi mentions Ahmed Patel twice in his speech

Haryana, 28 September 2012

Along with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today also mentioned Ahmed Patel in his speech at Surajkund in Haryana while questioning the scams of the Congress-led UPA.

Speaking at the public session of BJP’s three-day national executive, the Chief Minister raised number of questions.

“Why did you become Singham(showed bravery) only twice in your eight-year-long rule? First you showed bravery when nuclear deal was to be signed with America, now you have become Singham again for America while taking decision on FDI. Why you prefer to become Singham for America, but not for India?” Modi asked.

Modi pointed out that in 2008 when America witnessed general elections, the PM became was active, and now when America is going to elect a new government, Mr. Singh is active again.

“Our PM was sleeping in the mean time. So what is the connection between American elections and PM’s decisions?” Modi asked.

Modi further raised a question that why the decision on clearing FDI was taken just a day after Sonia Gandhi returned from America?

Modi said that the timings of the decisions taken by the PM raise several serious questions, and PM should answer them.

“I want to ask my media and Congress friends, whether they have ever seen some Congress Chief Minister offering flowers to Sonia Gandhi in her library room? I have never seen such photo. But then what is the reason that Manoj Jayswal who’s name is involved in coalgate scam was offering flowers to Sonia Gandhi in her library room in presence of Ahmed Patel? This photo has published in a newspaper. The nation wants to know what is the truth?”

Modi further said that recently in one English newspaper an article was published but later suppressed. This report said that the PM had told Sonia Gandhi that coal allocation decision was taken on instructions by Ahmed Patel, her political secretary.

“That photo and this news clearly show that Sonia Gandhi is directly involved in coal scam. The nation seeks answer from the Prime Minister,”Modi said.
