Ahmedabad, 16 December 2012
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today again demonstrated that he was confident of winning the Gujarat assembly elections.
Speaking at a lunch hosted by the Gujarat BJP for media persons on the occasion of the Gujarati new year in Amdavad’s star hotel, Shri Modi said, “Every year I host a lunch for media friends at the official bungalow of the Chief Minister in Gandhinagar. But due to the code of conduct having come into effect this time, I was unable to invite you there, and therefore here is a function organized by the party. But please note that on the 25th of December, which is the birthday of our former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajyapee, we will meet again at the new year get-together function at the Chief Minister’s bungalow in Gandhinagar.”
It should be mentioned here that the Gujarat assembly election results will be out on the 20th of December, and the code of conduct will cease to exist after that.
