Gujarat Congress spokesperson Dr. Ami Yagnik has criticized the BJP for using the word ‘Kulakshini’ for Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
“Bihar’s Darbhanga MP Hukumdev Narayan Yadav in his speech used derogatory word for our party president Sonia Gandhi. She used the word ‘Kulakshini’ for Sonia Gandhi. This reveals not only his but his party’s samskar. Moreover Gujarat BJP’s many other leaders who were present on the stage didn’t show any objection over such a language and thus gave mute approval. Such a use of language is breach of the code of conduct effective in the state,” Dr. Yagnik said.
She added that such a use of language is insult of women.
“The people of Gujarat are humble and samskari when it comes to language or behavior. Such a language will not be tolerated by either the people of Gujarat or country and they will give suitable reply through voting,” Dr. Yagnik said.
