Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is raising the issue of Congress party’s advertisement blunders in a big way in his rallies for last few days. Modi today kicked off the third round of his election campaign and continued to raise the issue.
In reference to Congress party’s advertisement on malnutrition in Gujarat, Modi at a campaign rally in Somnath raised a question, “If you(the Congress ruled central government) are so much worried about malnutrition, why don’t you reduce prices?”
“To show Gujarat in poor light, they published a photo of Sri Lanka’s weak child in Gujarat campaign advertisement, and by showing that photo they said that this was the condition of a child in Gujarat. Wasn’t that a sin? Wasn’t that an act of betrayal with the state? Wasn’t that an act to defame Gujarat? They showed American person’s photo in one of their advertisements. They can’t figure out who is white and who is wheatish. To show an devastated farmer, they put photo of a farmer from Rajasthan. To show persons without water, they showed a photo from Tripura. They don’t leave any opportunity to show Gujarat in poor light,” Modi said.
