Adding this strength to serve Gujarat even better:Narendra Modi on Narhari Amin’s induction(Video)

Ahmedabad, 6 December 2012

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi gave a rare honor to Congress bigwig Narhari Amin and others by welcoming them personally to BJP in a function held today morning just outside the Gujarat BJP headquarter in Ahmedabad.

Modi had to address seven rallies in a row today, but he spared time for the induction event which according to him was “important in political history(of Gujarat)”.

Modi started his speech by taking a note of Narhari Amin’s involvement in education field.

“Whether in power or not, it has been his nature to stay among people. he struggled for his beliefs since his student age. I proudly and heartily welcome him and others to BJP,” Modi said.

Modi observed that Narhari Amin is a leader with smile on his face always.

Modi termed Narhari’s decision to join BJP as a brave one and said, “If there’s conviction deep inside, then only such decision can take place. I congratulate him for his decision power.”

Modi clarified that Narhari’s induction is not to gain something. “we are connecting this strength not to gain something, but to serve Gujarat, to ensure its welfare in better way. It’s an occasion of pleasure.”

Modi said, “people sometime can forgive mistakes, but not cheating, and Congress cheated its own workers. In democracy mistakes tend to happen, but stabbing on back is not right. It I have to take some unpleasant decision, I need to speak with am affected person to convince him, but stabbing is not allowed.”

“Today’s induction of Narhari Amin and 100s of his supporters will strengthen democracy, and will help in a cause of putting end to Congress party’s dynastic rule. The politics of one parivarvad is dangerous,” Modi further said.

“It’s Babasaheb Ambedkar’s death anniversary today. Babasaheb struggled against Congress in entire life. Congress created problems for Baba, and continued to push him to struggle, but Baba could never be wiped out. Rajiv Gandhi received Bharat Ratna first, while for Bharat Ratna to Baba Saheb, people had to struggle,” Modi said.
