Major points of Arun Jaitley’s media address in Amdavad(Video)

Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jiatley addressed a press conference in Amdavad. Here is what he had to say:

-There are now four-five days left before the first phase of Gujarat polling. Only three days are left for campaign for the first phase poll. Our agenda to contest Gujarat poll is our proven leadership and our governance.

-Congress’s adhar is not understandable. Yesterday for the first time their any big leader came to campaign. She was Congress president and she couldn’t see what is visible to any open eye. She couldn’t see progress or development. Sometime back in Surat in her speech she said that Gujarat’s development is not only because of BJP but also because of Congress. Yesterday she said there’s no development at all. Infrastructure is better, agriculture growth rate is speedy, ten years of peace, decisive leadership in Gujarat compared to the centre – this all was not visible to her. Sometimes back she had said that some share of this development should be given to Congress, but her tune was changed this time.It seems the content of her speech is based on who wrote it.

-In 2002 and 2007 it seemed personalized drive against Narendra Modi in the election campaigns. This time they are slightly fearing. They want to change the path of their around one decade long initial phase of politics, but for people Modi is reality. Congress will not survive.

-In any party, a party leader performs the task to convey the manifesto to the people. But look at the crippled campaign of Congress party. Here they fear to use a picture of their leader in the campaign. They fear because there will be comparison between the leaders. Brand ambassador are fine in oil, shampoo, soap selling, but in politics, a leader’s face works. For how long they will keep a leader against Modi behind the curtain? One leader said he is a captain, but captain’s selection should be made by the selector, and here is the situation in which selector is also fearing to associate a picture, leave a captain.

-BJP has come to contest the election with a clear, decisive, honest leadership whose performance, who track record is proved. Compare to this, there’s a question mark over Congress’s leadership. Such half and incomplete campaigns can not work.

-We have full faith that we will form the government once again and not only that we will form the government but we will improve our performance compare to past.
