Reacting to Sonia Gandhi’s speech in Gujarat, Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today in his speech at Padra said Sonia should ask her Delhi government to simply say that India’s single inch land will not be given to Pakistan.
Sonia while speaking at a campaign rally in Kalol in north Gujarat today rebutted Modi’s remark on Sir Creek issue and said, “The UPA government is serious on issues related to national security. During its two terms, it has passed various historic legislations to improve the security apparatus.”
To this Narendra Modi at his Padra rally reacted, “My apprehension was right. Today a delegation from Pakistan has arrived in Delhi. Sonia should ask her Delhi government to simply say that India’s single inch land will not be given to Pakistan.”
On Sonia’s remark that centre gives much to Gujarat, Shri Modi reacted and said: Gujarat could get Rs 8,000 crore more from centre if present government in centre was following same terms set by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
Modi said, “Sonia says Delhi supplies power to Gujarat, but in 2007 this central government suddenly snatched away 200 MW from Gujarat to supply it elsewhere. Sonia it seems was reading the papers written in 2002. Here in Gujarat 24 hours power is available in villages, while in Delhi even Sonia keeps generator at her house.”
