Ahmedabad, 6 February 2013

Various Akharas gathered at the Maha Kumbh at Prayag are in one voice in support of Narendra Modi as PM.

According to a report published in Uttar Pradesh’s one of the leading newspapers Amar Ujala, Mahant Madhavdas, chief of three akharas of Bairagis, Shri Modi is a far sighted leader, he has capacity to lead the nation and the society skillfully for welfare of the nation. If such person leads the nation, it’s better. Nirmohi Akhara’s Mahant Shri Rajendra Das said that India’s majority of population has already accepted Shri Modi as their Prime Minister in advance, now preparations are going on to create favorable situations. Shri Modi is sharp person with better thinking. He must be the Prime Minister of India.

Niranjani Akhara’s Mahant Anand Giri went one step ahead and said that the way America was looking at Abraham Lincoln, same way he sees Narendra Modi for India. Modi is skillful leader with good thinking. He said the energy that is visible in Narendra Modi can do welfare of the country. It is good that the nation is led by good hands. His image is good even internationally.

Agni Akhara’s Sachi Mahant Kailashnand Brahmchari said that if the nation elects Modi as PM, the saints will be happy, but Modi will have to take pledge of harmony among all religions. Panchayati Akhara’s Bada Udasin Mahant Durgadas didn’t take Modi’s name directly but said that those who work good are described as good by all, so I am also of opinion that he is good. A politician is servant of the people.

Nirmal Panchayati Akhara’s Mahant Devendrasinh Shastri also supported Modi and said while nation is traped in corruption, it needs an honest and clean image leader.

Two Shankaracharyas, including Kanchi kamkoti Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati and Vasudevananda also supported Modi and said Modi is the most able person for the post of Prime Minister.
