Modi to attend the concluding function of Khel Mahakumbh 2012

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the concluding function of Khel Mahakumbh 2012 at Ahmedabd’s Shahibag police stadium on Wednesday, 13 February.
Four state ministers, Chief Secretary and Mayor will attend the function among others. Shri Modi will distribute prizes in this function to winner teams and sportsperson.
Khel Mahakumbh, Gujarat’s own state level Olympic was inaugurated in Surat by Chief Minister.
The annual mega event initiated by the Narendra Modi government could not be held last year due to model code of conduct effective in the state. After elected to power, the Modi government took a decision to hold two Khel Mahakumbhs this year. While the present Mahakumbh belongs to 2012, the another Mahakumbh of 2013 will be held later this year.
