One place worth visiting this week-end in Amdavad is Kutchi fair at Sanskar kendra museum in Paldi area.
The fair has number of stalls selling all types of handicrafts and crafts found in Kutch.
But more attractive are the stalls that sell Kutch’s original food items.
You must be knowing that a fast food item Dabeli was invented in Kutch. And Kutch’s Dabeli masala is very popular. Now this fair has presence of half a dozen stalls that offer Kutchi authentic Dabeli masala.
Other tempting food items available at stalls here are; Gulab Pak(must buy), Bijora athanu, Gunda athanu, Bijora murabbo, Bijora churan, Kachi Kharek athanu, Bajri papad, Mesuk and more.
Then there are painting and photography galleries.
And you just can’t miss the live traditional music performance of Kutchi folk artists.
Then there’s a food corner where Kutchi Dabeli, Bhirandiara’s Maavo and other food items are available to eat. They are costlier here than Kutch, but then eating Bhirandiara’s Maavo and Kutchi authentic Dabeli in Amdavad is fun that one can’t miss.
