In an attempt to arrest the menace of black marketers and touts, Western Railway has installed Biometric machine at reservation counter at Surat railway station’s reservation window.
Those wanting to access reservation window at Surat railway station based reservation center will first have to press thumb on finger print machine to get a token number.
The same person would not be able to get another token, as his thumb print will not be accepted by machine more than once.
The reservation center has CCTV cameras for monitoring, but it just couldn’t reduce the menace of touts. Hopefully the biometric machine may work.
