Ahmedabad, 7 March, 2013

– National Investigation Agency(NIA) probing Ajmer blast has picked up one Mafatlal from Surat. NIA has yesterday arrested one Bhavesh Patel of Bharuch in same case.

-Seven Taluka Presidents of Congress party are going to join BJP tomorrow with Rajkot rural strongman Vitthal Radadia in presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi in a function at Dhoraji, 72 km from Rajkot.Congress party has suspended them. Rajkot district Congress President has already submitted his resignation and he is also going to join the BJP tomorrow.

-Rajkot city Gujarat Parivartan Party(GPP) Chief and GPP candidate for Jasdan assembly seat in last election have joined BJP with their supporters.

-As Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s 8 March public function at Dhoraji was announced much earlier, the Police dont want to take any chance, and heavy police bandobast is planned for tomorrow’s function here. Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will arrive at helipad at around 3.30 pm.

-Along with Shri Vitthal Radadia, all Muslim Councillors of Congress party in Dhoraji will join BJP. Muslim Councillors held a meeting and took decision to join BJP under the leadership of Radadia.

-There has been another BMW car accident in Ahmedabad. The accident happened near Kadod when BMW car ramed into a passenger rickshaw. Person on driving seat escaped from the place of accident. Seven persons were injured. They were taken to hospital through 108 ambulance. It is yet not clear that who was driving the car and it was owned by whom.

-After a minor communal clash in Ram Rahimnagar in Danilimda area of Ahmedabad, the police have detained 15 persons.

-Vadodara court has asked Bollywood actress Mallika Sheravat to appear in the court on 20 April in connection with year 2006 obscene performance case. A complaint was lodged earlier this year by senior lawyer Narendra Tiwari, accusing Sherawat of publicly making wilful exposure of her person by words and gestures in J W Marriott Hotel in Mumbai on the New Year eve. Tiwari had filed the criminal complaint under section 8 of Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, 1956.

-News reports suggest that Janta Dal United (JDU) MP Jaynarayan Prasad is holding a Yagna to pray Narendra Modi’s installment as Prime Minister of India. The Yagna is organized by former BJP MP Shyambihari Mishra accordign to reports.

-Shri Morari Bapu has arrived at Bhavnath fair in Junagadh. Like every year, he will stay in Bhavnath fair till Shivratri.

-Gujarat state Board exams involving over 1.5 million students kicked off today. Standard 10th students appeared for Gujarati subject’s exam. One of the short notes asked was about state government’s sports festival Khel Mahakumbh.

-Police has filed revision application to seek remand of Ahmedabad BMW hit and run case accused Vismay Shah. Hearing on this plea will take place on Friday.
