Coomi Kapoor in her Sunday column Inside Track writes that BJP President Rajnath Singhhas entrusted Arun Jaitley with the Herculean task of trying to bring about a rapprochement between Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. After his Delhi rally last week Nitish went to Jaitley’s house for dinner with whom Nitish shares a warm relationship going back to the JP movement. On Monday Nitish and Jaitley made a joint appearance in parliament’s Central hall. At the recent executive meeting of the Bihar BJP, Jaitley was sent instead of Ananth Kumar. Sushil Modi voicing support for Modi as potential PM candidate and Modi cancelling his Mumbai rally as a courtesy to Nitish are other signals, writes Coomi Kapoor.
