Crucial meeting on permission to Narmada dam height today

A meeting to take decision on whether to give permission to further construction on Narmada dam or not shall be held today in Delhi. Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment shall chair this meeting of Rehabilitation and re-settlement sub-group of Narmada Control Authority(NCA). The permission is awaited since December 2006. Narmada dam’s present height is 121.92 meter. The target to be achieved is 138.68 meter.
