Good, but it’s not a big deal Vajubhai!

Ahmedabad, 3 July 2013
Gujarat assembly Speaker Vajubhai Vala today donated his one month salary of Rs. 67,000 for calamity-hit people of Uttarakhand, which is good. But publicizing this act through a government press release looks bit od, considering how rich Mr. Vala is! Forget the government salary, even if from his personal account if Mr.Vala donates Rs. 67 lakh(forget 67,000) it would hardly make any difference to the status of his pocket. Vajubhai has been a longest service Finance Minister of Gujarat, and he is involved in multiple businesses, from land and construction to chemicals and travels and more.
In another development, the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry(GCCI) today donated Rs. 21 lakh cheque to Chief Minister’s relief fund for calamity-hit people of Uttarakhand. GCCI President Prakash Bhagawati and other office bearers today met Chief Minsiter and donated the cheque.
