Ahmedabad, 8 July 2013

-CBI special court today issued summons to six accused of Ishrat Jahan encounter case. Those summoned including GL Singhal, Tarun Barot, DG vanzara, Anaju Chaudhary and JG Parmar. CBI today submitted charge sheet before the court, but six accused were absent, and court refused to give copy of charge sheet to their advocates. Now six accused are called to receive copies of charge sheet.

-The court in Vadodara took serious note of absence of Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat in obscene dance case. Court has issued bailable warrant and asked Mallika to remain present in the court by 19 August. If she again fails to obey the court, non-bailable warrant shall be served to her.

-Dr. Shashikumar has been appointed General Manager of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited. He is IFS, and presently on duty at Nal Sarovar bird sanctuary.

-Hearing on Gujarat government’s curative petition on Lokayukta appointment shall be held on 18 July before five judges bench.

_Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was in Nagpur today as a part of his Yuva Swabhiman initiative. He met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at the RSS headquarters. He told media persons that he expresses his total support Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of the country.

-Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan may come to Gujarat in September for the last phase of shooting for Gujarat Tourism advertisements.
