The city of Hyderabad is witnessing 10 different diversions and traffic restrictions today between 2 pm and 7 pm in view of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi’s `Nava Bharath Yuva Bheri’ rally at LB Stadium.
Traffic moving from the Assembly towards Fateh Maidan will be diverted towards Nampally and Public Gardens while vehicles on the Abids – L B Stadium stretch will be diverted towards Chapel Road. Those traveling from the Old MLA Quarters to Basheerbagh will be diverted towards Himayathnagar Y junction.
According to BJP workers, Modi’s meeting is expected to draw 80,000 to one lakh people. This is far more than the capacity of the stadium. Twelve LED screens would be installed outside the stadium for those who are unable to go inside.
Hyderabad is today also witnessing unusual wedding rush due to good muhurat for wedding after two months. Today is shuddha panchami, and first Sunday of the auspicious Shravana month.

Ahead of his rally, Modi tweeted, “On my way to Hyderabad – I can feel the enthusiasm of the Youth already. Looking forward to Nava Bharat Yuva Bheri!”
BJP senior leader Venkaiah Naidu said, “Modi has chosen Hyderabad for his meeting and several issues that are local and attached to peoples sentiments will also be spoken about”.
Parties like the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen have expressed concern that Modi’s visit will raise communal tensions. Andhra Pradesh DGP Dinesh Reddy however said that there’s enough security to maintain law and order.
According to local police sources, 5,000 policemen will be deployed in and around the stadium while a bullet-proof vehicle will be provided to the leader and four more vehicles for his chief security officer and officer on special duty. Police have refused permission to BJP leaders who wanted to take out processions to L.B. Stadium. Security arrangements are in place to prevent protests by groups opposed to Modi’s visit.
Senior BJP leaders M Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya and others took stock of the arrangements in the stadium.
Modi who arrived in Hyderabad in the morning today, would be addressing the public from 3 p.m. Modi arrived by a special aircraft at Begumpet Airport shortly after 10 a.m where state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy and senior leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Vidyasagar Rao and others welcomed him. Modi then drove to Park Hyatt Hotel to meet industrialists and representatives from the information technology sector and the Telugu film industry. After the meeting, Modi was scheduled to unveil a statue of Vallabhbhai Patel at the Keshav Memorial School. Modi will also address BJP office-bearers before leaving Hyderabad at 9 p.m.
the ongoing agitation against the bifurcation of the state is likely to cast a shadow on the much-publicised BJP rally as coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions have been witnessing widespread agitation ever since the Congress announced the decision to create Telangana on July 30.
Shri Modi’s speech will be watched by people all over the nation and arrangements have been made to enable people to see the public meeting live from anywhere in the country. The details for the free live signal are as follows:
