Gandhinagar, 5 September 2013
During the teachers’ day interaction with children in Gandhinagar today, when one child asked Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi whether he will continue to come and talk to the children next year after becoming Prime Minister, Shri Modi in his reply said he has been assigned to serve (Gujarat) till 2017 and he should do that only.
A child asked: “Honorable Chief Minister. You will become Prime Minister next year, so will you come to us to interact with us at that time too?”
Audience cheer with applause.
Modi replied:”First thing I don’t see such dream. I don’t see them. For now I have been assigned the task to serve you till 2017, and I should do that only, and I should do that with all energy, and I should not just reply you only on 5 September, but always when you have some question.”
It has to be noted that Modi was re-elected as Chief Minister of Gujarat last year in general elections. His term as CM will end in year 2017.
In reply to another question Shri Modi said, “Those who dream to become something are destroyed entirely. Never watch dreams to become something. And I particularly say this to the students. Never dream to become something, but dream to do something.
