BRTS-car accident,angry mob halt traffic for hours,police lathicharge(photos)

An accident between a BRTS bus and a car sparked major trouble for traffic in Amdavad’s Naranpura area today evening. Traffic in Naranpura, Ghatlodia area was jam for three hours. The situation could be controlled only after police lathicharge.
The incident happened after a car of one Mr. Divyanshu Dikshit was hit by BRTS bus from back side. The BRTS guard on duty used lathi to beat up a couple in car. This sparked anger among the local people, and they started blocking traffic.
More than two dozen buses were stopped by angry mob of local people who were protesting BRTS guard’s behavior.
The traffic could be normalized only after police lathicharge. Staff of three police station was moved to the place of incident.
