Sixth round of Garib Kalyan Melas to kick off this week-end

The state government is going to hold the sixth round of Garib Kalyan Melas from September 14th.
The 6th edition will cover 43 municipality areas and 46 talukas and include 23 Garib Kalyan Mela where benefits worth Rs. 7,609.68 lakh will be handed over to beneficiaries.
At the end of the 6th round of Garib kalyan melas total benefits extended to beneficiaries will be worth Rs. 24,788.81 lakh covering 1,49,740 beneficiaries.
The schemes covered under Garib Kalyan Melas include employment schemes, agri schemes, social security schemes, women and children welfare schemes, social welfare schemes and other major and smaller schemes.
