A girl hit by Keshubhai Patel’s son-in-law’s SUV dies

A 23-year-old girl Hiral Thummar who was hit by former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel’s son-in-law Dr. Mayur Desai’s car and hospitalized then after in critical condition is dead.

Hiral was suffering from worst kind of head injuries and was in comatose state after the accident. She was taken to Shalby hospital and was treated in coma at intensive care unit due to immense loss of blood.

Hiral Thummar was with Rohit Siddhpura(23) on Discover bike when Dr. Mayur Desai’s white Land Cruiser sports utility vehicle hit them at 100 kmph speed at 9.30 am near Neptune cross roads behind Rajpath club on Wednesday morning. The SUV driven by Dr. Desai dragged the bike for almost 100-ft before screeching to a halt.

Dr. Desai didn’t run away and surrendered before police. He was released on bail within hours.

A boy Rohit Diddhpura(23)’s left lag has been amputated below the knee as it was completely crushed in the accident. He is under treatment.

Police has added one more section against Dr. Desai after Hiral’s death.
