Trichy is located 350 km away from Chennai. More than two lakh youths are expected to join this rally. The entry fee for the Trichy rally is Rs.10 against Rs.5 charged in Hyderabad.

Modi’s rally is likely to be aired live by over 90 TV channels. Modi will be addressing the Trichy rally from the dais designed like Delhi’s Red Fort. According to K.T.Raghavan, a member of the BJP’s Tamil Nadu media panel, the theme is (Trichy’s) Rock Fort to Red Fort.

Though it is too early to tell, the BJP may have an electoral alliance with DMDK, MDMK or PMK for 2014.

BJP has received the official nod from the railways for using the sprawling G-corner railway ground for Modi’s function in Trichy.
