Rahul Gandhi is in discussion in Rajkot for bad reasons.
Recently during his two-day Gujarat visit, Rahul spent a day in Rajkot where he met party men from north Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch regions, and also addressed the extended meeting of state executives of party.
One of the persons whom Rahul reportedly met was Kandhal Jadeja, son of late gangster Sarman Munja and Santokben Jadeja. Kandhal is Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) MLA from Porbandar district town of Kutiana. There are 16 criminal complaints filed against Kandhal in Porbandar, Rajkot and Ahmedabad.
According to a report in top Gujarati daily, a meeting between Kandhal and Rahul Gandhi took place at Rajkot airport.
The newspaper writes: This meeting showcases Rahul’s double standards, because on one hand Rahul publicly speaks about flushing out people from criminal background from politics, and on the other hand he flirts with criminal background person like Kandhal Jadeja.
Speaking to a newspaper Kandhal had earlier said that he was called by leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela to meet Rahul in Rajkot.
According to a report, Kandhal met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi too in the past. He is ready to join Congress party if he is assured ticket to contest Lok Sabha polls from Porbandar seat.
