United Way Vadodara canceled second night Garba due to rain

Rain fall has not proved villain during Navratri in Amdavad so far. However, Vadodara is not as lucky. On Sunday, 6th of October city’s iconic United Way garba event had to be cancelled due to water logging in the ground thanks to afternoon round of shower.

United Way is Vadodara’s hugely popular Garba venue. One can see vehicles parked between Genda circle and Gorwa village for United Way event. Garba players walk for one and half kilometer to enjoy Garba by Atul Purohit here.

In another incident, the sound system set up for Navratri was washed away in rain on first day of Navratri in Waghodia locality of Vadodara.

At Mehsana nagar garba utsav, singer Falguni Bhesania entertains Garba players on the tune of her specially made garbas on Narendra Modi.

Navratri at Kareli bag area’s Ambalal park ground, Nizampura, Samta, Adukiyo Dadukiyo, Small wonder, Parampara etc were unaffected by rain. Rajmahal road’s Tadfaliya, Dayalbhau street and Fatehganj main road based sheri garbas had to be cancelled on first day of Navratri due to rain, however on second day, the situation was normal.
