Highlights of Shri Narendra Modi’s Kanpur ( Uttar Pradesh ) speech

It was really a hot afternoon under scorching sun. It was Shri Narendra Modi’s first rally in this season of campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Lakhs of people were all over the ground and even beyond that to hear Shri Narendra Modi, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. Even in the afternoon hours, the crowd was full of energy. The slogans and banners in favour of Shri Narendra Modi were too strong that Mr. Modi had to halt his speech twice and request the people. Presented below is main highlight of Shri Modi’s speech:

-This rally at Kanpur has won me. You ahve gathered under scorching sun here. Your sufferings will not go to waste.

-Such a large crowd, such slogans not only reflect support to BJP but also reflect anger against the Congress and its allies who have ruined this nation.

-I want to ask a question, you lived your life with great problem, now do you want to pass on same life to your children? If you love your children, then make desire for their bright future.

-In last 60 years, Congress and its allies have shown mastery in fooling the people. In 2009 they said they will bring down the inflation in 100 days. But then what happened? Did prices

actually go down as promised? or go up? The Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi and Shehjada(prince aka Rahul Gandhi) are silent about this. They are so arrogant that they don’t care for you. Should you care for them who don’t care for you?

-Those who committed sin of saving this government are also sitting here in Uttar Pradesh. There’s need to push this Congress party and their allies down.

-5,000 innocent people were killed in Uttar Pradesh in one year. Can you believe so many people getting killed in a state just in one year? Well, that has happened here.

-Uttar Pradesh government is playing the tricks of vote-bank politics. Now they are all set to make free terror suspects.

-There’s no taluka of Uttar Pradesh from where someone is not working in Gujarat. This Uttar Pradesh gave 8 Prime Minster to this nation, then why people have to leave Uttar Pradesh to work in Gujarat?

-Uttar Pradesh need freedom from those three ( SP, BSP, Congress) who are like eclipse. This land of triveni of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati needs freedom from this ‘tikdi’.

-The elections next year will be national elections and not Gujarat elections, but instead of speaking about performance in Delhi, the present government in centre is throwing questions that

what happened in Gujarat, and what did Modi do there!! The people of Gujarat have given their verdict a year ago in 2012 and passed it with distinction. If there’s something lacking in Gujarat, the people of Gujarat will settle the score.

-The ashes of coal in Delhi is also here in Kanpur and that is the reason of pollution here( in reference to Kanpur MP and union Minister Sriprakash Jayaswal’s involvement in coal scam). One officer serving in the government of India says that if he is culprit, the the prime minister is no.1 culprit. Have you heard such words about any prime minister before?

– The central govt goes to the Supreme Court to say that files (coal scam related) are missing, but actually the entire government is missing there in Delhi. The union government has not only lost files, but lost life. We have lost our lives, our dreams are shattered. Congress allies SP and BSP too are responsible.

-A leader of Congress party makes fun of poor people and says that poverty is nothing but a state of mind. He has born with golden spoon in mouth, how he would be knowing anything about poverty? He goes to poor person’s hut with cameras and then pictures from various corners are taken. We are born in poverty. If someone makes fun of poor person, I feel same pain that I felt in my childhood days of poverty.

-Those who beat drum of Food Security Bill need to know that as per the provisions in this scheme an adult person is going to get same quantity of food as a child who is beneficiary of mid-day meal scheme. Is this the scheme to feed hungry person or keep him hungry?

-Those who say Gujarat was always a rich state should know that while SC population in Uttar Pradesh is 21%, the population of SC/ST is 22%, and if we add fishermen to this, the figure will go further up.

-The Congress party has always worked to create divisions. They divided country, parties, castes, society, states, forwards and backwards. To push this country ahead, we need to connect the people and not divide them.

-We want Hindus to become better Hindus, Muslims to become better Muslims, Christians to become better Christians, Buddhists to become better Buddhists, Sikhs to become better Sikhs, so that they can all together can make India a better nation.

-BJP’s victory in year 2014 is certain. For us, the only religion is ‘nation first’, ‘India first’, the only religious book is India’s constitution, the only devotion is Bharat bhakti, the only strength is the strength of 125 crore Indians.
