Sansrod attack: total figure of arrests reaches 37

Vadodara district police has arrested 7 more accused of Sansrod attack. Thus the total figure of arrests has reached 37. Police has 55 names of accused, while total number of accused is 125. Those three arrested on Friday were sent on three days remand.
Most of the Muslims of Sansrod – barring old-age people, women and children – have left their homes and are on run to avoid arrests. Those still inside village are avoiding to go to their professions. For last three days, children are not going to schools.
On one hand the Muslims fear arrests of innocent, while on the other hand the police has asked local Muslims to cooperate and produce those who were part of the violent mobs.
