Nitish Kumar part of Narendra Modi’s Patna speech
October 27, 2013

Patna, 27 October 2013
Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, full of hate and jealous first returned flood relief cheque to Gujarat govt, canceled pre-scheduled dinner for BJP leaders in Patna, issued series of statements against Gujarat’s development story and Narendra Modi, pressurized BJP to not to allow Narendra Modi to campaign in Bihar, objected a goodwill advertisement and ordered police inquiry, broke ties with BJP finally. It was Modi’s chance to hit back today. The massive and historic Hunkaar rally was the occassion. Following are main points from ‘Nitish Kumar’ part of Modi’s speech.
“Here we have a friend as Chief Minister. The Chief Minister here is my friend. People ask why your friend left BJP? I replied the one who left JP(Jayprakash Narayan), why he would not leave BJP then? Ram Manohar Lohiaji fought against Congress throughout his life, and one who thinks he is Lohiya’s disciple stabbed Lohiya and started flirting with Congress. Lohiya’s aatma will not forgive him.”
“In year 2006-7, this friend came to Gujarat to attend a wedding function. I was also attending same wedding function. We had a dinner on same table. He was our guest and we offered Dhokla, Khaman, Dal, Kadhi, sweets. His stomach was full and he was totally satisfied. Maheman Nawazi is our culture. Public life runs on certain principals and certain etiquettes. Laluji never left an opportunity to speak bad words against Modi. He said he would never allow me to become the PM. A few months back, when Rajiv Pratap Rudy informed me about Laluji’s accident,I called Laluji and inquired about his health. Laluji expressed pleasure. Later I told him that Yaduvansh’s Krishna settled in Gujarat’s Dwarka. We have old relation with Yaduvansh. If something happens to you, we are concerned. And I want to tell all Yaduvansh connected people in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar that I have come with blessings of Krishna in Dwarka. I take responsibility to take care of your problems. Shri Krishna Bhagwan’s work has to be taken ahead.”
“Sometimes, twice in year Chief Ministers meet in Delhi during meeting called by PM. And lunch is organized during such occassion. Five-six Chief Ministers share table on such occassion. Once Nitish and I had lunch together on same table. He was not having lunch and seeing here and there in worry. I told my friend, that he should not worry and have his food as, there’s no camera around. There should be a limit of hipocracy.”
“The people of Bihar should not forget that when opportunity to have freedom from Jungle raj arrived for the first time, BJP MLAs were double in number compared to JD(U). It was very natural that BJP man could become CM. But for BJP, nation was more important than party. And therefore though Sushil Kumar was deserving candidate for CM post, we made our friend a CM. Our party wanted to make Bihar free from jungle raj and therefore we made him CM.”
“Then a coalition government was formed. And I request political pandits, (they should study) during the time of JDU-BJP joint govt, the best performance was demonstrated by BJP ministers. Development drive was pushed ahead by BJP ministers. News around development were generated by hard work of BJP ministers, MLAs and workers.”
“Then there was an election time and our leaders in Bihar BJP wanted to invited me, but I choose to tolerate insult and said no to Bihar campaign to save Bihar from jungle raj.”
“Then he was lured by Congress, and asked to join Congress party for an opportunity to become PM, and he started seeing dreams. He has betrayal you, and you need to uproot them now(from power)., Gandhi had said Champaran angrez mukta India. Today Congress mukt Bharat dream.
“Jayprakash Narayan lived for democracy, struggled for it and was ready to live in jail for that cause. There are four enemies of democracy. The biggest one is dynasty politics, the second enemy is casteism, third enemy is religious hatred and fourth enemy is opportunism. Under UPA govt in centre and also in Bihar all four elements are present.”
Added to this Modi slammed Nitish Kumar’s minister who said people join army to get killed. Modi also criticized Nitish government over its performance in the area of minority development and poverty reduction.
Giving an example Modi said, “Each state is given quota for Hajj yatra by Government of India. Muslims in Gujarat enjoy quota of more than 4000 seats while Muslims in Bihar enjoy quota of more than 7,000 seats. Bihar receives application of 6,000 against approved seats of 7,500 because poor Muslims can’t afford to go to Hajj, while in Gujarat the quota is 4,500 but 40,000 applications are received because Muslims in Gujarat are happy. There are two districts in Gujarat where Muslim population is highest. They are Kutch and Bharuch districts. In entire Gujarat, highest development is witnessed in these two districts.”
