Official release: “Sacrifice of innocent martyrs of the Patna serial blast won’t go waste” – Narendra Modi

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who flew to Patna Friday night, set out early Saturday morning for the remote areas of Bihar to reach out to the bereaved families of the innocent victims of the terror-like serial bomb blast that took place during the Hunkar rally at Patna last Sunday.

Instead of attending any other programme or public function, Mr. Modi made it a point only to meet the bereaved families of the bomb blast at their homes to express his heartfelt sympathy. He assured them that the sacrifices of the innocent martyrs won’t go waste.

They are late Bharat Rajak of Simrahi village in Supaul district, late Rajesh Kumar of Ahiapura Mushahari in Nalanda district, late Raj Narayan Singh of Kamarji village in Patna district, late Vikas Kumar Singh of Nishija village in Kaumur district, late Munna Shrivastav of Dhanesh village in Gopalganj district and late Vindeshwari Chaudhari of Taravariyapur village in Begusarai district.

However, after meeting families of two victims, Mr. Modi had to cancel the trip midway. He could not personally go to Gopalganj and Supaul due to bad weather, but consoled the bereaved families on phone after returning to Patna.

The Chief Minister was accompanied with Bihar’s veteran BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi and BJP Bihar unit President Nand Kishore Yadav. Everywhere they went, the villagers from the surrounding areas gathered there to mourn the loss, befitting the solemn nature of the occasion. The villagers also thanked Mr. Narendra Modi for showing sensibility and humane side of the politician.

PET PIGEON MOURNS THE LOSS:

In a unique feature of the sad story, a remorseful pet pigeon which used to give company to one of the victims, late Bharat Rajak, when alive during meals and even sleeping time, accompanied Bharat Rajak’s funeral procession up to the cremation ground, Bharat’s said while talking to Mr. Modi on phone.
