One more loses life at risky Somnath sea beach

A married young man Jagdish Chhaganbhai Rathod from Rajkot drowned in the Arabia sea at Somnath coast.
Rajkot’s Yadavnagar based Rathod family was on visit to Somnath during Diwali holidays. After darshan at Shri Somnath mandir, the family was enjoying beach side walk. At this time, a married young family member Jagdish Chahganbhai Rathod went into the sea to have some pleasure in company of water. Unfortunately he was drowned immediately in a strong sea waves.
Solanki’s dead body was found out after four hours long efforts by local fire brigade jawans.
The district administration has banned sea bath on Somnath coast due to risk to life. A notification in this regard has been issued by the district administration and a signboard has been erected, however some visitors just can’t resist and venture into the sea. Not everyone who goes to the sea actually dies, but incidents of drowning take place occasionally when waves are really strong.
Shri Somnath trust is working on a beach development project at Somnath coast. The construction work to build tourist friendly beach is delayed and going on for last many months, but without any result so far.
