Surat, 16 November 2013

Asaram Bapu’s son Narayan Sai has been declared wanted today.

The Gujarat government has announced a reward of Rs.5 lakh for the capture of rape accused Narayan Sai, police said on Saturday. A reward of Rs.5 lakh has been declared for Narayan Sai, while reward of Rs. 1 lakh has been declared for information about Narayan Sai aides Hanuman and Jamna.

Surat Police has printed posters with photographs of all three wanted. Narayan Sai is already declared absconder by court. Surat Police will initiate procedure to attach Sai’s property if he doesn’t appear before the police before prescribed date.

Surat Police also raided north Gujarat based Gambhoi ashram of Narayan Sai and arrested 8 women from there in connection with year 2005 case.

Narayan sai’s anticipatory bail plea is pending in local court in Surat at present. If any decision arrives in the court and it is not in favor of Sai, he may challenge it in the High Court. It appears that Narayan Sai will fight the battle for anticipatory bail upto the Supreme court if needed and will surface only if verdict in Supreme Court is not in his favor.
