One year passed since Modi's first 3D rally

Ahmedabad, 19 November 2013

It’s 19 November today. Last year on 18th November, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi addressed his first 3D holographic rally. It was organized at Naranpura in Ahmedabad, Polo ground at Vadodara, Shastri maidan at Rajkot and
SMC party plot at Surat.

Shri Modi later addressed over 100 3D hologram rallies across Gujarat. He would stand at a state-of-the-art studio in Shantiniketan farm near Adalaj in Gandhinagar district and address over 50 rallies at one-time. Presence of seven to twenty thousand people in single rally was very common. Modi has reserved exclusive rights for 3D rallies for Lok Sabha general elections too. It has to be seen whether he uses this tool again or not.

When Modi’s 3D rallies started getting response last year ahead of the Gujarat assembly general elections, the Congress leaders were saying that Modi’s this magic works only in Gujarat, and he is nothing outside Gujarat.

Today the same leaders have changed their tune. Not able to digest the crowd and the response Mr. Modi attracts across India – even at the places where BJP’s political presence is negligible – the Congress men now say that a single group of people travels to Modi’s every rally! How funny!

While Modi could gather lakhs of people even through his virtual presence at different locations on one time last December, what happened to Mr. Rahul Gandhi and his rally in Delhi recently is well-known(read this report). He arrived late, people started leaving the venue, Chief Minister Sheila Dixit had to request people to stop, but people didn’t listen to her. Rahul Gandhi arrived, and even his arrival or his speech didn’t make any difference, people continued to leave the venue.Rahul concluded his speech in seven minutes!
