Vitthal Radadia resigns from Rajkot yard

Rajkot, 20 November 2013
Five Directors of Rajkot marketing yard including Porbandar BJP MP Vitthal Radadia have sent their resignations to agriculture director through fax.
Technically, this development has little significance because the term of those who resigned was anyway to complete next month.
Politically this is important because BJP MP Radadia and others have submitted resignations following allegations of corruption against them made by rival group of market yard led by Chairman Hardesvsinh Jadeja who also belongs to the BJP. Both Jadeja and Radadia were earlier in Congress, and their rivalry was well-known at that time also.
Radadia aide Sakhia has made allegations against Rajkot district BJP president also. BJP leaders maintain silence on this issue. They say the party has nothing to do wit this.
After submitting his resignation, Radadia alleged that he had resigned protesting corruption in construction of new market yard. Radadia said he would go to court against corruption and low quality construction.
On the other hand, Chairman of yard Hardevsinh Jadeja has challenged Radadia to prove the charges.
Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi is invited to inaugurate new market yard in December, constructed at a cost of over Rs. 200 crore.
