Gandhinagar, 25 November 2013
Gujarat Police will use moving halogen light unit to secure the Chief Minister’s convoy on Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad highway. The unit will be deployed at dark points on the highway during the passing of Chief Minister’s convoy when day light is not available. Gujarat Police use such moving units at the time of Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad every year.
Gandhinagar DSP Sharad Singhal recently convened a meeting to review Chief Minister’s security within the district limit.
As per the decisions taken in the meeting, extra number of reserved police force jawans will be deployed at Narmada canal and Indira bridge on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar route. Police Control Room(PCR) vehicle will ensure that there’s no obstruction to convoy throughout the route. A wooden structure has been set up to install flood lights near Koba circle where an open pipeline passes under the road to carry rain water.
