Two policemen were suspended for allowing a car loaded with weapons to enter the secretariat campus where Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s office is located.
Gandhinagar DSP Sharad Singhal had sent a car loaded with weapons to secretariat campus to check alertness of cops deployed at gates.
Gate PSI I.D.Rathod and N.R.Kotwal who were on duty at gate no.1 and gate no.4 didn’t care to check the car and allowed it to go inside the campus.
DSP Singhal took this lapse very seriously and suspended both Police Sub Inspectors.
It should be mentioned that policemen deployed at secretariat campus gates are clearly instructed to check all government and private cars before allowing their entry to campus.
