Ahmedabad, 2 December 2013
The court of metropolitan magistrate BJ Ganatra will now pronounce its order on Zakia Jafri’s protest plea on 26 December.
The court was to pronounce its order today on Zakia Jafri’s plea protesting closure report of Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team, giving clean chit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and others with regard to alleged conspiracy behind the 2002 riots. However the order could not be pronounced today as the Judge is on leave for last few days.
In September this year, Magistrate Ganatra had said that he would pronounce the order on October 28. However, on October 28, the magistrate deferred pronouncement of order for December 2. The latest date as of now is 26 December.
