Revolt in Gujarat Congress IT cell

Gujarat Congress’s IT cell is now facing revolt. Insiders say, as many as 17 district presidents, 6 general secretaries, 9 organizational secretaries and 3 vice presidents have offered their resignations protesting against formation of new body of IT cell of Gujarat Congress chaired by Rohan Gupta. The new body of Gujarat Congress’s IT cell was announced on 30th November. According to insiders the revolt is against Rohan Gupta’s independent decision to form the body and select vice presidents. Insiders alleged that even state party president was not consulted by Gupta before declaration of new body. Insiders added that the new body has no woman, backward class representative. They said Rohan Gupta is just training incharge and can not make appointments on his own. A representation in this regard has been made to state party president Arjun Modhwadia.
