How BJP’s Surat(West) victory is spectacular

BJP’s victory on Surat(West) seat is spectacular if we look at the figures.
In December 2012 polls, the voters of Surat made BJP candidate late Kishorbhai Wankavala victorious by giving 74.32% votes to him. Now in present by-election on same seat, the voters have given 4% votes more to BJP and made party candidate Purnesh Modi victorious with 78.30% votes.
According to a statement issued by the Gujarat BJP President, Congress has lost 10,000 votes compared to last election on Surat West seat.
Gujarat BJP President in his statement further said that people have approved Narendra Modi led Gujarat govt through this great victory.
The result:
City BJP president and Surat(west) assembly by-poll candidate Purnesh Modi has been victorious on Surat(West) assembly poll with margin of 66,274 votes. Rival Congress candidate gets 19,755 votes. 2307 votes went to NOTA. BJP candidate has got 78.30% votes, while rival Congress candidate has got 17.98% votes. BJP candidate has won the election with 60.32% margin.
