Let Narendra Modi declare his policies for nation:Baba Ramdev

Ahmedabad, 4 January 2014

Addressing a press conference ahead of 5 January convention at Talkatora stadium in Delhi which is to be attended by Narendra Modi, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev today said BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will have to declare policies he will implement if he is elected to power in centre.

Baba Ramdev said, “Modi will have to declare his policies in public. Without policy, you can’t make a nation. Three things are needed for nation – Netrutva(leadership), Niyat(motive) and Niti(policy). Modi’s motives are unquestionable, leadership is proven, now he just need to declare his policy.

Baba said honorable Modi’s one dream of Congress-free India has been accomplished. Now he will have to take initiative in direction of solving the issues like poverty etc.

In reply to media, Baba Ramdev said, Narendra Modi has been in political life for last ten years and in social life for last forty year and his honesty is evident.

Baba said Modi will need to be PM with support of more than 300 MPs, then only he will be effective PM, able to take major decision.

He said Modi will have to clear his policy, his ethical stand on various issues, ahead of the elections, and if he does this in Talkatora stadium convention, he will not need to rely on other parties for support. It’s Modi vs Mudda. The nation is built by policies and not by particular person.

When asked about Kejriwal, Baba Ramdev said Kejriwal didn’t do anything like Khemka when he was on job(in Income Tax department). Kejriwal will take time to become mature in politics. The decision he has taken already demonstrate paradox.

Reacting to a question on PM’s comment that Modi as PM would be disastrous, Baba Ramdev reminded 1984 Sikh riots on the roads of Delhi.

Ramdev said Modi has been given clean chit by Supreme Court appointed/monitored SIT and trial court. Even after this if PM questions Modi it only shows that PM has no faith in our legal system. Even Baba is facing 100 cases and 1000 notices, allegations prove nothing.
