Govt websites to be updated atleast once a fortnight

After receiving complains that websites of various government departments are not updating, the state government reviewed 217 government websites. Of them 21 are departmental websites, 45 are run by Gujarat Informatics Limited, 142 are operated by vendors. So far the review has been done by in-house team of Science and Technology department, but soon third party review will also be carried out. According to sources 125 websites will be updated every week and 75 every fortnight now onwards. Updates will be monitored and reviewed by officials.
