At Goa rally, Narendra Modi takes on Congress protectors

Panji, 12 January 2014

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi today attacked not just Congress party, but also the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) in his Goa speech. Modi mentioned Congress’s name but choose to attack AAP without naming it.

On honesty and simplicity ground Modi gave example of former prime minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajyapee and Goa Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parikar.

“These days BJP’s honesty, commitment are questioned by some people who want to save Congress, by some people who have become protectors of Congress. I want to ask them. This is the part whose first prime minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee stayed in power for years, but he doesn’t own his own hose today. Should we be questioned for our honesty? BJP stayed in power and its leaders and party workers served the nation honestly.”

“We will of course win two Lok Sabha seats fro Goa, but(tha’t not enough), Goa is visited by people from all across the country. Please educate the also. They will see Goa, Goa Chief Minister’s simplicity, honesty. Imagine if Manohar Parrikar was in Delhi. In that case, entire nation could know that such an educated, simple person is Cheif Minister. But media people can’t see anything beyond Delhi. In this nation, there are many jewels who live for India.”

Modi also spoke about round the clock coverage AAP is getting these days on TV and in print. In his style, Modi asked whether people want faces on television of people with vision.

“I have served Gujarat for last 12 years. I have been always defeated on the TV screens and newspaper pages. Neither I could secure my place there, nor I could win them. But I have never been defeated in the hearts of the people. And therefore the nation has to decide whether you want the faces on Television screen or vision on the ground? Whether you want new idea, new hopes, new ways of work, new decisions, whether you want those proven by experience, because India’s future can be chanced only then. BJP is willing to change the future of India. Let’s go ahead with trust.”

Like always, Modi spoke about Congress-free India, but this time specially mentioned that Congress-free India doesn’t mean Congress party free India. He said Congress is a culture, a system involving various looks and various leaders. The nation has to be liberated from this illness called Congress which includes casteism, communalism, regionalism, unch-ninch etc.

Every time Modi attacked on Congress, he also attacked on those giving protection cover, support, to Congress and those doing rescue job for Congress.
