Gujarat Congress relieves 23 absent office bearers

Gujarat Congress president today in a statement issued here said the party has taken a decision to relieve 4 permanent invited, 3 state office bearers(1 vice president and 2 general secretaries), 2 executive members, 3 specially invited members and 11 district observers from their posts as they failed to attend monthly state executive meeting continuously for second time without seeking prior permission for so. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had directed state party units to relieve those who fail to attend the monthly meeting more than once without taking prior permission. The state unit has responded accordingly.
