On Gujarat BJP’s new headquaters(to be opened on Monday)

Ahmedabad, 8 February 2014

Gujarat BJP’s nea headquarters “Shri Kamalam” will be inaugurated on 10 February in presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, local MP Lal Krishna Advani, national organizational general secretary Shri Ramlalji, national vice president smt Smriti Irani, state guardian Shri Om Mathur among others.

-The new state headquarters is located on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar highway near Koba circle. The old state headquarters is located in wall city area of Ahmedabad near Lal Darwaja. While in old office, locals do pay visit to even drink a glass of water or read local newspapers, the new office will be conveniently accessible only to those having car. This is because proper public transport facility between Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar has not been achieved even after over 45 years. The existing Gujarat BJP state headquarters is small but welcoming. It is considered lucky too. It is there for last three-decades. The new office doesn’t seem too welcoming due to its location and complex-type architecture with big boundary wall. Yes, with new office building BJP will not have to hire private auditorium to convene conferences and small gatherings. Due to some reasons narrated above, party will continue to partially function through existing state headquarters. This divide between the old and new headquarters will prove headache for regular visitors, including journalists.

-After BJP came to power in Gujarat, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad was first to have its new office building. A big building ‘Vanikar Bhawan’ is located in Paldi area of Ahmedabad. Later Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) purchased new office building ‘Shrilekha Bhawan’ on the backside of its old office in Paldi area. RSS continues to function in its office building located in Maninagar area of city. Sadly BJP couldn’t find the place in proper Ahmedabad to build party headquarters.

Gujarat BJP’s organizational secretary Bhikhubhai who presently lives in one room at BJP headquarters will shift to new office building and live there.

Convention of party workers will be held during opening of new state headquarters. It will be attended by state office bearers, executive members, morcha/cell workers. MPs, MLAs, district guardians, district office bearers, board/corporation chairmen/vice chairmen, Lok Sabha seat incharges, district, taluka, municipality and municipal corporation members, cooperative leaders etc.

-The other wing can be useful for party and for others also
