After attending “Chai pe charcha” event on S.G.Highway Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi moved to Gujarat University convention hall in Ahmedabad to attend a Gujarati Sugam Sangeet event. Shri Morari Bapu, Gujarat Samachar’s editor Shri Shreyansh Shah, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Parimal Nathwani, veteran Gujarati Sugam Sangeet artists Shri Gaurang Vyas and Purushottam Upadhyay were present on the stage with Shri Modi.
Speaking briefly before in his best known Gujarati oratory style, Shri Narendra Modi said while western music touches body, Indian music touches our soul.He said he received invitation to attend this function when he was on Kerala visit. Modi spoke about importance of letter writing. He spoke about universal language of music and more.
The audience applauded Shri Shriyansh Shah, Shri Parimal Nathwani and others who have backed this Sugam Sangeet event for last ten years. On this occassion Hridayasth Avinash Vyas award was presented to Hansa Dave, Kavi Ravji Patel award yuva sangeet pratibha award was presented to Dipali Somaiya, Yuva sahitya pratibha award was given to Bhavesh Bhatt.
